Addison is a 4.4-square-mile town in Dallas County, just north of Dallas. The town bills itself as having more restaurants per capita than any city in the U.S., which means a lot of short trips, parking-lot exits and turning traffic along Belt Line Road. Dan Wyde, who leads the firm, spent years as a prosecutor and was twice elected a Criminal Court Judge. There is no fee unless we recover money for you.
The Dallas North Tollway runs straight through Addison, crossed by Belt Line Road, Arapaho Road and Midway Road. The President George Bush Turnpike and LBJ Freeway sit just outside town. Addison Airport, with its 7,203-foot runway, takes up about an eighth of the town and shapes the traffic around Airport Parkway and Keller Springs Road. The DART Silver Line opened on October 25, 2025, with a station in Addison, adding new rail crossings and more people on foot near the tracks. The town’s rebuild of Midway Road from Spring Valley to Keller Springs was down to punch-list work as of May 2026.
Addison Police Department sells crash reports for $6 at the Records window at 4799 Airport Parkway, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can also mail a request with a check or money order. The same CR-3 report is sold online through TxDOT’s Crash Records Information System for $6, or $8 certified. Only the people involved, owners, insurers and a few others can get the full report.
There is no full-service hospital ER inside Addison. The closest Level I trauma centers are Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas on Walnut Hill Lane and Medical City Plano. Whatever you do, get evaluated the same day. Neck and back injuries from a rear-end crash often hurt more on day two than day one, and a gap in treatment is the first thing an adjuster looks for.
Injury lawsuits from Addison wrecks are filed in Dallas County, at the George L. Allen Sr. Courts Building on Commerce Street in downtown Dallas. Both the civil district courts and the County Courts at Law sit there, and Dallas County’s County Courts at Law can hear civil cases of any amount. Most clients never set foot in that building because we handle the proceedings for them.
TxDOT recorded 366 crashes in Addison in 2024. None were fatal, and 6 caused suspected serious injuries.

Tailgating, weaving through traffic, and ignoring speed limits cause countless preventable wrecks.
